Who Am I?

In a nutshell, I’m an Internet enthusiast. I design websites, I optimise sites for search engines, I run several of my own (very successful) websites and I keep bang up to date with the latest developments, particularly the area known as Web 2.0.

I started Scribble Designs in 2004 with my wife Lisa to help small and medium sized businesses in Northern Ireland improve their presence on the web.

My approach to web design is best described as “holistic” – I believe that all the components of a website design contribute to its success. In particular, I believe that you need a killer combination of attractive design, easy-to-understand writing and search engine friendly construction in order to succeed.

I’m also a blogger in my spare time. Don’t worry, it’s not some kind of fetish – essentially I write content for the web, sharing opinions and experience with like-minded individuals. Lisa and I have collaborated on a very popular blog called Unreality TV, which is now the biggest blog of its kind in the UK. That’s something we’re both very proud of.

Web Design, SEO and Site Marketing: I can design accessible, search engine friendly websites that meet current web standards. I can help you to promote your site so that you gain more visitors (and hopefully improve sales at the same time!).

I can also help you discover how well your website is performing with traffic analysis software.

Blogging Advice: My speciality is in blogging. I’ve been blogging since Scribble Designs started, and have gained a wealth of hands-on experience. I can help you set up your blog and give you advice on how to target it, track other blogs in your topic area and build traffic and credibility.

Custom Development: If you need a custom platform for your website, I can help you to work out your requirements and build a content management system to your requirements.
